The MAX Katowice currency exchange office purchases withdrawn banknotes of the eighth series of Swiss francs at the above-mentioned retail and wholesale rate. For our help, we have set the currency code CHF8 to make it clear what banknotes we mean. We have two branches in Katowice, please visit the currency exchange office at ul. Stawowa 10 in the center of Katowice, if you have any questions, please contact our employees.
Banknotes of the 8 series of Swiss francs were withdrawn from circulation on April 30, 2021. This is the end of a certain stage. Swiss francs known to all 8 series have ceased to be legal tender and exchanged at currency exchange offices. Currently, the next series is in circulation, i.e. the 9th series, in which a total of 15 safeguards are used to prevent counterfeiting attempts (the 8th series already had very good security measures): shimmering ink, luminous thread, cut-out windows, UV protection and microtext. Additionally, they have the structure of two outer layers of cotton paper and a polymer core reinforcing them, which makes them more durable than traditional paper money.
